TAX INFORMATION

Thank you for reaching our about the recently announced tax update in Canada. Your emails were forwarded to [email protected], so please use that email address for any other concerns you may have on this topic. To answer some of your initial questions noted below:
Toastmasters International is a registered entity with the Canada Revenue Agency and will collect it at the time of the order. The organization utilizes a third party company that files the necessary returns and remits tax to the appropriate government agency.
After several months of research and considerable pushback, it was confirmed that TI did not qualify for the exemption and taxes will apply. Just because TI is a non-profit, doesn't make it tax-exempt.
The tax rate will be specific by province, not a blanket tax. Please see rate below and we've also updated this information by product sold if helpful - we would appreciate your feedback on that so we want to be as transparent as possible on the % rates by province that we're required to collect.
